First released into the Middle East market in October 2016, the crossover compact SUV is one of the biggest successes for Volkswagen, with 4 million customers worldwide in over 170 countries. The second generation Tiguan has also been a regional best seller and a serious contender to other models.
The success of the Tiguan highlights the demand for quality German engineering at affordable prices. The second generation Tiguan was released into the market as the first Volkswagen SUV to be built on the state-of-the-art MQB platform and includes the latest technology innovations such as App Connect, which allows the driver to connect their mobile phone to the infotainment touch screen. This smart SUV also showcases a sophisticated design and total passenger comfort, making it an instant hit with customers. As one of the most advanced compact SUVs, the Tiguan presents a redefined and striking design, spacious interior, along with cutting-edge safety and technology features, including the Active Info Display, Adaptive Cruise Control, 4MOTION, DSG transmission, and further enhanced technological features.

The impressive and innovative features enhance the vehicle’s safety, convenience, infotainment and dynamism. To make the driver’s experience effortless and safe, the Tiguan showcases Area View 360 which provides support to the driver in almost every driving situation. The Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) which adapts the vehicle’s speed to the vehicle driving ahead to the maximum speed selected and maintains the distance set by the driver. The 4Motion Active Control allows the driver to choose from four custom designed driving profiles for both on-road and off-road which enhances drivability in various weather conditions. The Tiguan also offers a Driver Alert System which identifies failing concentration on behalf of the driver and provides an acoustic warning with an optical indication recommending the driver to take a break.
From a design perspective, the Tiguan is usually described as a seamless work of art, with clean lines and dynamic proportions forming an ideal SUV identity. The proportions were designed to make the SUV feel even more solid, progressive and powerful. The model includes R-Line trims, black exterior mirror housings, black roof rail, R-style bumpers, headlight frames in high-gloss black and 20” Suzuka black alloy wheels.
